At the end of June, the Shenk family spent the weekend at Bear Lake. It straddles Utah and Idaho and is one of the loveliest lakes around. The water is a beautiful aqua blue, which is why some people call it the Caribbean of the West, however having been to the actual Caribbean, let’s agree to disagree on that one. Utah being a land-locked state makes this a nice option to have not too far away.
